Service Driver responsible for the collection and transportation of waste pharmaceuticals to the waste transfer site for disposable, in a safe and secure manor following safety, environmental and ADR dangerous goods regulations.  Logging and maintaining paperwork for both internal and external auditing purposes.

Maintenance Network Engineer.  Maintain system network by monitoring connections to client systems using Playware software. Log and rectify network issues when they are discovered, either by network monitoring or calls made to technical support.  Arrange and attend site visits to relevant client sites for maintenance or rectification of software and hardware faults.  Installation  and configuration of equipment on site ranging from various model PC's, Plasma screens, 20" TFT screens, IP Power switches, Netgear PoE switches, Cisco 857 routers, USB Modems, UHF Modulators & VGA sender/receivers.  Remotely administer client machines using Radmin software VNC client and pcAnywhere.

1st/2nd line support. Using Assyst Solutions software to log and assign calls.  The release of emails that have been quarantined by the MailMarshal program. Tracking emails, creating & disabling user accounts in Exchange 5.5 & Windows NT4 server.  Using Netmeeting’s remote desktop sharing facility to aid in the installation of software and problem solving user issues.  Manufacture of patch cables, patching cables for desk moves and telephone extension moves.  FTP file transfer for BACS and Payslip transactions, Using FTP software and Citrix.  Daily, weekly Backup of AS400 Server.

Roll out off Desktop PCs for a large white goods manufacture.  Rebuild of reclaimed units along with migration to Windows XP Pro.  Installation of software and network printers for the individuals needs. Floor walking after migration.  troubleshooting user problems.

Royal Air Force

While IT was not my primary role whilst serving in the Royal Air Force, I had the opportunity to work within the IT cell on station for a number of months as they where short staffed. During this time my tasks included, auditing, setup and testing of new desktop PC’s, installation of operating systems and software using Norton Ghost, I have analysed and designed Management Information Systems to aid in the tracking of maintenance for ejection seats currently in service for the whole of the Harrier fleet, saving time and increasing efficiency.
